In 1904 the first Great Britain Stamp Booklets appeared. Although the First stamp booklets were produced in Luxembourg in 1895 the idea became popular and quickly spread around the world. Booklets contain small panes of postage stamps. Originally the booklet panes were made by splitting sheets of stamps specifically printed for the purpose of producing the Stamp Booklets. Because of the process used its not uncommon for some of the older booklet panes to have 1, 2 or three 3 straight edges. Most modern Stamp Booklets are now Self Adhesive.
