HOW TO USE MY WEBSITE
Welcome to what I believe to be the most comprehensive Great British Stamps website there is anywhere in the World, but you can decide. It is certainly the most advanced site technically. Those of you out there with an understanding of databases, programming and shopping cart systems should certainly appreciate it. I haven't actually counted how many separately priced items there are on the database and in the cart, but it is many thousands.
Whilst I can take the credit for building the databases, I can't unfortunately take it for the programe or the cart. This is all down to my web designer and programmer, Michael Dean.
We both hope you enjoy the site and welcome any feedback you may have, even if it is negative, though I reserve the right to send the boys round if it is negative!
REASONS TO BECOME A MEMBER
You do not need to become a member to use this site, but you will find it useful.
On the Home page, there is a Register as a Member link.
By entering your details, you will from time to time be able to take advantage of Special Offers and Discounts that will only be available and viewable to Members who have logged in. Members will be notified by email of these.
It will also auto fill your details into the Checkout Section on the Ordering system to save you some time and effort.
You can cancel your membership at any time by simply going to the Update Membership page, once you have logged in.
TO BROWSE THE SITE

Please browse the site in any way you want. I don't think that you can break it!
The site is laid out in sections. Firstly by Reign and then sub divided from there. There is also an A-Z index and a search engine (see details below)
You can move about the site very easily using the links panels at the top of every page. There are generally 3 main panels as below. The first panel is for Information links you might want, ie Postage costs.
The second panel is to the main top level links on the site and the third panel called Quick links are to localized links, ie you are on Scottish Regional's and the quick links will take you to any other regional section.

THE SHOPPING BASKET AND CART
The One Click (Clickaprice) ordering system is exactly what it implies. Click on a price and the item will be added to the Shopping Basket. If you are using Internet Explorer, it will also change the price colour to Yellow and will stay Yellow until you leave the site, so you can see exactly what you have placed into the basket. (This function is dependent on your browser settings)
I hope that you will find this useful in helping you to see which items you have already ordered.
If you want more than one of any item, simply change the quantity once you reach the Shopping Cart.
The Basket is displayed on the left hand side, near the top of every page.
If you want to see a full list of items in the Basket then you can click the SHOPPING CART Button at any time for this.
THE SEARCH ENGINE
The Search Facility on this site is displayed on the Right hand side, near the top of every page.
You can use the search to look for items by word(s), ie entering Flowers will return every item on the site where the word flowers is in the description.
You can search for a complete Years issues by simply entering a year.
You can search by Stanley Gibbons or Scott numbers. To do this you MUST enter SG or Scott as a prefix. ie SG362.
Have a play with it if you want. Don't worry, you can't break it!!!
HOW TO COMPLETE AN ORDER
The Ordering System on this site has been designed to give you a system that is really user friendly. 
I can take payment by any of these methods, any major Credit/Debit Card, GB Personal Cheque, PayPal (Maximum of £200), Bank Draft in GB Sterling, Bank Transfer in GB Sterling, Cash in either Pounds Sterling, US Dollars or Euros. Simply follow the order through to the Checkout page, where you will see a section to enter your details (if you are a Member and have logged in, then this section will be automatically filled for you. Then, simply enter the other details as required. Once you have clicked on one of the payment options, a final message page will then be displayed with any other information that you may need.
If you have entered a valid email address then you will receive an email confirmation of your order.
IMPORTANT: If you have entered your email address and you fail to receive a confirmation within 24 hours, then it will mean that there is some reason why I are not able to send it to that email address. This is important if you have elected a payment option that requires an valid email address. Should this happen, I will have to write to you.

In certain cases I will accept payment in Mint GB Decimal stamps, but you will need to contact me regarding this first.
 If you prefer to place an order by post or fax, please click on the ORDER BY POST link on Cream coloured Links Panel near the top of every page for details of the options that are available.
